Della photos

Images from yesterday. Oh my goodness.
Della's cool and unusual asian-themed outfit is a gift from a beloved cousin. She looks downright smashing in it, don't you think?

And here I am, with my little one perched atop an exersize ball. We spend a lot of time in ergonomically questionable (if not downright nightmarish) positions and postures (aka me, bending forward like a "C"). I try to make up for it by stretching, often.

Della is an outfacing baby with me, in-facing with sweet Tammy, a crook of the arm baby with Doug... At 3 months she now loves the bjorn (I love that she loves it), is enjoying minutes at a time in her new bouncy seat (a cheapo that I really like-- my bouncy seat of choice when I was a little one was a jolly jumper), she loves practicing standing, being carried by anyone willing to dance and bounce (hard please), she smiles more and more and more, a delightful lopsided grin with dimples, talks (a lot) and giggles (a little), and still has fucking colicky times that I hate beyond measure. Last night, several hours of unhappiness followed by an hour of blood curdling demon baby screams and a big, big sleep. Then sometime near morning, a wonderful cuddle with me, she turned to tuck her head up under my chin and I barely dared to breathe since I did not want to accidentally dispel the magic. She is feisty and smart, curious, impatient, easily frustrated, wiggly, charming, and insanely cute. She has a glint in her gray eyes that hints strongly of a future of mischievousness. We are doomed.

She is darling - beautiful, adorable, everything good all wrapped up in a baby package.

That outfit is gorgeous. Makes me want a baby girl to dress up...

Such a wonderful picture of the two of you, and so glad to hear the update. Hope to see you soon - (this week?) - though totally understand if you have other things going on - sounds like a busy time right now! But I miss you and want to see Della again - I'm sure she's grown so much! Let me know, we're here all week.

Oh my goodness. She is gorgeous. Her eyes are so striking. She is going to be a really beauty when she grows up (she already is!)

Fun to see a pict of you too. I don't know if I started reading after you posted some of yourself but I've never seen you before. (Haha, I just saw that there is a picture of you at the end of your right column. Silly me!) I can certainly see where Della gets her good looks from!

Aren't those balls great! Sadly I had to give mine away after I had Isa because we just didn't have space for it. But I miss it dearly.

Della sounds like a very good natured baby.

Doomed in such a great way!! She's lovely... Is it too soon to start the marriage contract between she and Bobby (before Susan's Henry steals her heart)? :)

Such adorable pictures. And we, too, have spent SO many hours on that ball, which I alternately bless and curse depending on how long it takes to get Her to sleep and the resulting level of discomfort for me.

And a belated happy birthday to you!

Dear sweet Kate,

I don't think I have seen a more beautiful set of pictures.
They are really breath-taking.

The picture of you both made me smile - the love is simple, heartfelt and true. It radiates from that picture.

I know this is a time of great change in your life but please remember this - the current Kate is pretty damn wonderful!

She is a fantastic mom, loving wife, incredible/supportive friend, creative/artistic person, etc. - the list goes on.

I think this newer Kate- the one you are working on is going to be one pretty Frickin amazing lady.

Love ya hon

The purpose of the ball will evolve over time. Now we use the ball for Tamale's strength-building and Burrito rolls it around the room.

A tip: don't combine the hard dancing with the ball after she eats. I made that mistake once with a colicky Burrito, and it was the only time in his first 6 months that he ever puked.

Della is getting more beautiful all the time! The colic will pass soon -- not soon enough, I know, but soon.

Sweet, sassy, smart, gorgeous!
No room for a ball here either but what a good idea! My posture is shot to hell too! Three months is such a great age and it keeps on getting better!
You look radiant!

She adorable, and I can see that glint in her eyes... she's going to be a sly one, I suspect. No one's gonna pull a fast one on Della! We're doomed too, but it's so much fun that we don't mind a bit.

Charlotte kissed a boy's arm in music class today. C is shopping for a shotgun to hang over the front door... No suitors until she's 30!

I hope you don't mind my stopping by and leaving a comment. I've been doing a lot of research for the past year on infertility, and reading a lot of blogs. When I came across yours, for some reason, I just started crying and felt excited. My husband and I have been TTC for three years in April. We found out he has mild MFIF, and I have DOR and endometriosis. We just went through IVF last week. The egg retrieval was on Feb 8th. They got four eggs. Three were fertilized, and put back in. I'm in great suspense waiting for my beta on the 22nd. Thank you for sharing your story. It made me feel a little less alone in all this. And gives me hope. You and your baby are beautiful! - B
