the short of it

I am happy to report that we're on for this cycle, there was no cyst (praise the gods/goddess/all-that-is), and stims (my usual antagon protocol) started tonight. I had only 9 resting follicles but that is a whole lot better than none. And it sure is better than one big cyst.

An acupuncture session this evening left me edgy and off center and pms-ish (anyone else had this happen?) but I am a little more settled now. Wishing for a much longer evening, but it is time for bed.

Since last I checked in with my long blog list, babies have been born, pregnancies begun, and life just moves so quickly. I am sorry I have been so intermittent in my checking in.

I found I was coming home from work and losing myself in the internet-- reading and catching up and commenting and blog hopping, and then suddenly it was time for bed and I did not feel that I had really been here, had not really been present or connecting with my sweetie. So I am trying to do this in smaller bites. While I do check on some of my posse daily when I can, my blog list is long and filled with wonderful people, but I just cannot keep up the way I was.

So, please forgive me, I certainly care and hope and celebrate, but I may stumble across your news after the fact. I am trying to find balance in all of this, but I admit: I am still looking for it.

Good luck with your new cycle Kate!

I was ratty after my last acupuncture too - not sure why, but it was certainly disappointing to feel that way.

Kate- I have the same issue with my blog list and I can't bear to let anyone go.....so I just try and keep up as I can and comment on the posts that really touch me, and quietly follow during other posts :)
I am very glad to hear that there were no cysts, step one check!

Your cycle is off to a promising start- hurray! Take care of yourself and your sweetie first, and try not to feel badly for not commenting all the time. We've all (I think) felt the pull between real life and blogland, and I know that my blog-sisters are pulling for me and following our progress even when I don't hear from them.

The mobile I chose for Ishkabibble is from artmobiles.com. I fell in love with this guy's work when I found one of his creations in a museum gift shop in Chicago in 1997. Last fall, I accidentally stumbled across his gallery on a weekend trip to the Berkshires to visit the Rockwell Museum. If money were no object, I'd have his works in every room and all over my yard.

Thank goodness for no cysts. Very good news!

I understand how hectic things can get. Often these days I read all my blogging friends via google reader but its hard to get in and comment on each and every one, but the nice thing google reader is you can just scroll down the screen and read a lot faster.

I hear you - I really had to back away from blogging at one point - my hubby was feeling neglected and I cannot have that!
Yay for no cysts!

Sounds like a great start, and 9 antrals is not too shabby either! Enjoy your DH - I'm only on here so damn much because I'm not working. Well, OK, I'd get on a fair bit while at work during the longer cases. A knee replacement or hysterectomy aren't all that thrilling, generally.

It has been strange not having you around so much, but understand why. Wishing you lots of luck for this cycle!

Yay -- so glad things are a go for this cycle!

I completely understand about needing to unplug and live real life a bit. I'll be following you whenever you check in.
